Description: This project funds the construction of deep, hand-pump, or solar-powered water wells in communities suffering from a lack of access to clean, safe drinking water.

• Impact: A single well can provide water for an entire village for decades. It drastically reduces waterborne diseases, relieves women and children from the grueling task of fetching water from miles away, and enables communities to irrigate small gardens, improving food security.

• Your Reward: A quintessential Sadaqah Jariyah. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “When a person dies, their deeds end except for three: ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them.” Providing water is one of the highest forms of charity.
