The Cambodian Amanah Takaful Association (CATA) is a Muslim non-profit organization committed to promoting solidarity, mutual assistance, and sustainable development within Cambodia’s Muslim community through Shariah-compliant and ethical initiatives.
CATA is honored to have HE Neak Oknha Dato Dr. Othsman Hassan, Senior Minister in charge of Special Mission, serving as Chair of the Board of Directors, with Mr. Sen Saman serving as Executive Director.
Vision
សមាគម CATA ចង់ឃើញសហគមន៍ឥស្លាមនៅកម្ពុជាប្រកបដោយសមត្ថភាពខ្ពស់ ចំណេះដឹងជ្រៅជ្រះ និងការអភិវឌ្ឍន៍រីកចម្រើនលើគ្រប់វិស័យ ការរស់នៅដោយការគោរពគ្នាទៅវិញទៅមក និងមានស្តង់ដារជីវិតប្រសើរឡើង។ CATA កំពុងកសាងឡើងវិញនូវតម្លៃស្នូលនៃប្រជាជាតិឥស្លាម និងបង្កើតផែនការសកម្មភាពប្រកបដោយនិរន្តរភាព ដែលចូលរួមជាមួយប្រជាជនឥស្លាមមកពីគ្រប់វិស័យក្នុងប្រទេសកម្ពុជា។
Mission
CATA focuses on charity-based, cooperative, and community empowerment programs that enable Muslim individuals and businesses to participate actively in Cambodia’s national economy while upholding Islamic principles and values.

KEY PROGRAMS

1. My Community Fund Program A mutual assistance and social solidarity fund providing critical support for vulnerable families, education initiatives, and broader community welfare needs.

2. RIBA Clearance Program Also called the Wealth Purification Program, A Shariah-compliant solution designed to help Muslim individuals and businesses transition away from interest-based (riba) financial obligations toward ethical and permissible financial arrangements.

3. Hajj Fund Program A structured savings and support mechanism that enables Muslims to prepare financially for their Hajj pilgrimage in a disciplined, Shariah-compliant manner.

4. Islamic Business Cooperative A cooperative model supporting Muslim entrepreneurs and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through risk-sharing, mutual financing, and ethical business practices, thereby strengthening the Islamic economy at the grassroots level.
OUR OBJECTIVES
CATA is guided by five core objectives:
- Promote peace of mind in Islamic financial matters
- Strengthen youth development and education
- Encourage ethical entrepreneurship aligned with Islamic values
- Boost the Islamic economy in Cambodia
- Foster unity and resilience within the Muslim community
OUR APPROACH
Through strategic collaboration with government institutions, development partners, and the private sector, CATA contributes to inclusive national development while ensuring that Cambodia’s Muslim community remains financially empowered, socially responsible, and spiritually aligned.
