CATA Scholarship Policy

The Cambodian Amanah Takaful Cambodia (CATA) is pleased to offer a scholarship program for university students in Cambodia. The scholarship aims to support and encourage students who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership potential, and a strong commitment to contributing to their communities.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for the CATA scholarship program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Be a Cambodian citizen.
  2. Be a new graduate grade 12 or full-time undergraduate student at a recognized institution or university in Cambodia.
  3. Have a minimum cumulative not under grade D or GPA of 3.0.
  4. Demonstrate leadership potential and a commitment to contributing to their communities if any.

Scholarship benefits

The scholarship provides financial support to cover tuition fees, book expenses, and living expenses for the academic year. The exact amount of the scholarship will be determined on a case-by-case basis, based on the individual needs of the applicant.

Application process

To apply for the CATA scholarship program, applicants must submit the following documents:

  1. A completed application form.
  2. A personal statement describing their academic achievements, leadership potential, and community involvement.
  3. Official academic transcript(s) from all institutions attended.
  4. A certificate of poverty acknowledgement by the government if any.
